<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\nErnesto S\u00e1nchez-Triana is a Senior Advisor at the Global Alliance on Health and Pollution (GAHP) and a Senior Visiting Fellow at the Center for Environmental Health Studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University (LMU) of Munich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Previously, he served as the Global Lead for Pollution Management and Environmental Health at the World Bank.
Before joining the World Bank, he worked for the Inter-American Development Bank. He was also a Professor at the National University of Colombia and the Director of Environmental Policy at Colombia\u2019s National Department of Planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has led the development of numerous policy-based programs, investment projects, technical assistance operations, and analytical work in over 35 countries, including Afghanistan, Argentina, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Ghana, India, Kenya, Laos, Mexico, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, El Salvador, Tanzania, Ukraine, Vietnam, and Zambia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His research and publications span various aspects of environmental health and pollution management, including air quality<\/a>, the circular economy<\/a>, the economics of lead exposure<\/a>, environmental health priorities for chemical exposures<\/a>, environmental health externalities<\/a>, the relationship between health and pollution<\/a>, and risk analysis and land-based pollution<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He holds two master\u2019s degrees and a PhD from Stanford University.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
